About
A practice built around the work, not the pitch.
XataTech was built on a simple bet: that the companies winning are not the ones with the loudest demos but the ones with the clearest priorities. Everything we do compounds from that.
How we work
Every engagement begins with a 30-minute assessment. Not a discovery call dressed up — a working conversation about where you actually are, what is at stake, and what the next two months should produce.
From there, the work splits into three modes that often run in parallel: advising the leadership on what to do, building the systems that prove the recommendation, and training the team that will own them after we leave.
We do not pitch retainers. We pitch outcomes with deadlines. The relationship continues because the work continues to be useful — not because the contract is locked in.
What we believe
Most "strategy" is prioritization in costume. The interesting question is rarely "can we build this?" — it is "of all the things we could build for this company, which three matter, and in what order?" That holds whether the lever is AI, an internal tool, a new customer flow, or fixing the part of the stack everyone has been quietly working around.
Working software is the only honest deliverable. A deck is an opinion; a shipped system is a fact. We bias toward the second.
Internal capability is the moat. Engagements that leave a team unable to extend the work without us are failures, even when the deliverables ship on time.

A 30-minute assessment will tell you what to build, what to skip, and what to do first.
